As I have gone through school and have completed all different types of internships, I have come to the realization that I do not have one specific “dream job.” I believe that one internship, experience, or opportunity can guide you to the next one. Each experience can teach you something, if you let it. I also believe that no matter where you’re at in your professional life, you have the chance to grow, mentor, learn, and build the Kingdom.
For all my enneagram lovers, I am a textbook enneagram 2. I love and feel my best when I am helping others and building relationships. My first job after college will be working for a start-up mental health telehealth company (NOCD) on the business side, but I believe that you have no idea what one job can bring you! I can also see myself in the counseling, education, or social work fields one day.
Phrase “it’s not what you know, it’s who you know” has become more prevalent and true as I have gotten older. My biggest mentor in my professional life, and one of my mentors in my personal life, happens to be my boss, Co-Founder and CEO of NOCD, Stephen Smith. Not only has he won Forbes 30 Under 30 award, but he has quite literally changed the lives of thousands of individuals suffering from mental health issues across the world. His humble, selfless, hard-working, and empathetic spirit inspires and leads me as I enter the real world
